Welcome to the online headquarters for the 28th District of the Nebraska Legislature. It has been my honor to serve as your Senator since January 2007.

The 102nd Legislature, Second Session is now underway! This year, we will be celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Nebraska Unicameral, and it is my honor to be a part of a unique institution.

I will be introducing several meaningful legislative bills during this session. From government accountability to public transportation, I have an array of legislation planned which is aimed at making our community a safer, healthier place to raise our families.

DN: Senator Avery Proposed Bill to Aimed at Husker Ticket Incentives

Sen. Bill Avery of Lincoln introduced a bill — LB 758 — on Jan. 4 to prevent state employees from receiving gifts, such as dinners and University of Nebraska sporting events tickets.
